Basic Traffic Control Course For Workers (BTCC)

COURSE OVERVIEW

This course focuses on effective traffic control management to ensure the safety of all road users, including pedestrians. Participants will develop a basic understanding of safety principles and the LTA Code of Practice for Traffic Control and Implementation by the end of the program.

COURSE OUTLINE

1.     Land Transport Authority (LTA) Code of Practice for Traffic Control at Work Zones and relevant safety  laws and regulations.

2.   Recognize potential hazards and implement safe work practices for roadwork activities

3.   Identify and correctly use traffic safety signs and traffic control devices

4.   Demonstrate proper procedures for lane closures during roadwork operations

5.   Execute effective traffic control tasks in various worksite scenarios

COURSE REQUIREMENTS

To register for this course, learners are assumed to:

1.     Be able to follow written and oral work instructions

2.   Be able to listen speak, read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the

Employability Skills (ES) Level 2

3.   Be able to process numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to the (ES) Level 2
