MEWP Operations Instructor Workshop

COURSE OVERVIEW:

 

The MEWP Operations Instructor Workshop is designed to equip professionals with the skills and knowledge required to effectively train others in the safe and efficient use of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs). This comprehensive workshop covers MEWP safety standards, operational best practices, and instructional techniques, ensuring trainers can deliver high-quality education.

 

Participants will learn how to conduct risk assessments, demonstrate proper MEWP use, and create engaging training sessions. The workshop emphasizes practical, hands-on experience and includes guidance on compliance with safety regulations and standards, preparing instructors to confidently lead MEWP training programs and enhance workplace safety.

 

COURSE OUTLINE

1.     Provide the knowledge and skills needed to train others in safe MEWP Operation.

2.     Teach Safety Practices to ensure trainers understand and can teach essential safety standards and procedures.

3.     Enhance Instructional Skills: Develop effective teaching techniques and presentation skills specific to MEWP training.

4.     Be Familiarize instructors with regulations and safety requirements for MEWP use.

5.   Practical demonstration on MEWP Operation.

6.   Prepare trainers to deliver high-quality education that enhances overall safety in the workplace.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS

 

To register for this course, learners must be above 18 years of age and are assumed to:

1.     Valid certificate in any MEWP (Boom Lift, Scissor Lift or Vertical Personnel Platform)

2.   Minimum qualification is WSH Safety Coordinator or equivalent

3.     Be able to listen speak, read and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the
Employability Skills (ES) Level 3

4.     Be able to manipulate numbers at a proficiency level equivalent to the (ES) Level 3

5.     Be medically fit to work at height
